SNC Shyamavan

Where we began our journey, SNC Shyamavan is our flagship space with a rich history of its own. 

Archana’s Dadjji, paternal grandmother, grew up in the house on the property we call SNC Shyamavan. When she got married, breaking tradition, she and her husband stayed there, instead of moving in with his family.

Similarly, two generations later, Shyamavan got passed on to Archana and her younger sister Jaya, while they refused to get married and their two brothers married and moved elsewhere. Preferring to devote their time and energy to SNC’s vision, Archana and Jaya Bahuguna held space for 20-30 people to experiment and develop the intentional community that Space for Nurturing Creativity is today.

SNC Shyamavan is a less than 1 km easy trail walk below Trance Himalaya, spread over 20 bighas of orchards and organic farm lands. This is our more rustic accommodations, nestled in a valley of lush green, with the Mandakini River just a short hike further down and plenty of nearby waterfalls during monsoon. Perfect for more serious sadhaks and explorers of truth.
